the hotel was an excellent base for enjoying a great area, really close to the garden and flowers, shops and food places and other areas locally. the location of the property was lovely and nice - at a medium distance from a medieval cathedral.
Facilities were simply wonderful, yet Wi-Fi was quite slow.

I stayed for 2 nights here and had a lovely time. the location was exceptionally nice, next to other areas, especially Mapua, and the garden and flowers. Great service was provided here. I used wake up calls and ironing, it's free too.

We had an incredible stay at this countryside retreat. The cozy cottage was impeccably clean and equipped with everything we needed. The hotel facilities, including the outdoor tub and hammock, were highlights of the trip. The location was handy to explore other areas both locally and in the surrounding Nelson area. Additionally, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the homemade bread and spreads provided for breakfast were a lovely touch.
All good.

Tranquil and relaxing, private accommodation, fresh flowers, homemade preserves, friendly hostess, meandering driveway.

We stayed at a charming hotel nestled by a beautiful field and on a private farm, making it handy to explore other areas locally. the hosts were very welcoming and accommodating, providing freshly baked bread and high-quality breakfast. the bed was comfy and the room was nicely decorated. We enjoyed the saltwater pool on hot days.
The distance to nearby towns was a bit farther than expected, requiring us to drive for anywhere we wanted to go.

I recently stayed in a rural retreat that was located close to the city center and had amazing breakfast options. the bed in my spacious room was large and comfortable, which allowed me to have a peaceful and restful sleep. the outdoor bathtub and fire pit were fantastic, it provided a great experience of being close to nature.
Even though the location was beautiful, the workers on-site peeked through the bushes and caused little privacy when using the outdoor bathtub. even though the cottage was rustic and charming, it could use some attention towards cleaning as it had a lot of cobwebs and dust almost everywhere.

Cosy, European-style boutique with attention to detail. Warm hospitality and fresh, organic breakfast. Luxurious outdoor bath and fire pit.
Lack of sound isolation, with noise from other guests and surroundings. Room attached to another house.

We had the most fantastic stay at Quail Farm, Colonial Charm! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and pampered. The little touches like having our name on the gate and the lights on made us feel instantly at home. The use of the washing machine in the morning was a lifesaver. The claw foot bath on the porch and the outdoor fire were absolute highlights of our stay. The rustic cottage was beautifully decorated and the homemade bread, candles, and marmalade made us feel extra special. The location was peaceful and restful, yet still close to all the attractions in the Nelson region. We couldn't recommend Quail Farm, Colonial Charm highly enough. It was truly a wonderful experience!
